SW18 4PP The Bugatti EB 110 was the only model built by Romano Artioli's Italian incarnation of Bugatti, and it sent shockwaves throughout the automotive industry. It's future proof construction techniques have made it, arguably, one of the greatest modern classics ever made; it's quad-turbocharged V12 was years ahead of it's time, and provided the blueprint for VW's quad-turbocharged W16 Veyron engine.
The EB 110's name is an homage to the creator of Bugatti, Ettore Bugatti. The car was debuted on the 15th of September 1991, exactly 110 years after the Birth of Ettore. The following year Bugatti released the updated Supersport, this version was lighter and developed 612PS at 8250rpm; taking the car from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 216mph. These figures were absolutely astonishing at the time, and are still eyebrow raising 25 years later.
Bugatti fell on hard times in 1995 as a result of an overambitious acquisition of Lotus, coupled with the hugely expensive development of the four-door EB112; this ended in the company declaring bankruptcy and selling off their assets to various buyers. One of those buyers included the German company Dauer Sportwagen who bought the remaining stock of EB110 parts and produced a very limited number of cars using the incomplete chassis built by Bugatti.
The car we have in the showroom is an example of the very limited run of Dauer EB110s, finished in a deep Black with a lipstick red interior, this car grabs attention like few other things on four wheels can. The car comes complete with 2 sets of keys, a user manual, German registration docs and Service documentation. The spec of the car, coupled with the care that has been taken and the unbelievably low mileage make this an incredibly secure investment; with prices sure to soar as time progresses.
